The Story

Tex and I have been pretty non-traditional right from the start. We met on OkCupid and dated for almost two years. Then, while we were visiting his parents over the holidays, we woke up one morning and decided to elope that afternoon. I wore a lace shirt and a tan skirt, and he wore a blue plaid button down (very Tex).

Even though we were officially married by a Justice of the Peace in Austin, we both wanted to have a ceremony at a later date to celebrate our marriage, and to include friends and family.

We have just reserved a location for next summer (2015), and now I realize why people always seem so jealous when I say we eloped; planning all of this ‘ceremony’ stuff is so stressful! Between now and June I will be planning this ceremony on the cheap, working on projects for the wedding, and of course posting about it as I go.
Thanks for stopping by!
